Beskrivelse
This essay is dedicated to the study of Giselle, ou Les Wilis, a mid-nineteenth-century ballet born from the idea of the writer Th?ophile Gautier, who composed the book. It was performed for the first time in 1842 in Paris with choreography by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot, and set to music by Adolphe-Charles Adam, a famous composer of operas. It is considered the highest expression of classical and romantic ballet.
