Beskrivelse
Since their emergence, studies on gender and development have brought a great contribution of knowledge; they have explored areas previously imperceptible or trivial to social sciences. Those studies provide critical analysis tools that enrich the knowledge of a variety of phenomena in the construction or development of societies. In this book, the authors analyze gender and development concepts viewed from two different perspectives. First, the writers provide a study on the contribution of the Nursing Home Transition Program that helps readers to assess gender disparity in the Memphis Center for Independent Living (MCIL). The second part of the book tackles the roles played by gender in human capital formation in Kinshasa.
