Everything Good and Proper

Wallingford, Connecticut in the 1870's is a precarious place to live, especially for young women like Dina. Forced into the communistic Perfectionist Community at a young age, Dina is complaisant with the rules of the society until she must begin "ascending fellowship" at the age of fourteen. Three years later, as she grows physically and mentally, Dina struggles to create a life for herself and her young daughter, Keturah, who she is punished for loving.
