We often overlook beautiful creations, like a rose bush that perhaps goes unnoticed. Think about how some places got their nicknames. Dallas, Texas is called the "Big D," Louisville, Kentucky is "the Gateway to the South," Los Angeles is "the City of Angels," Lincoln, Nebraska is called the "Cornhuskers State," Indiana is the "Hoosier State," and Florida the "Sunshine State." Teresa learns from an assignment. She discovers that even role models are not always human. Reading about her adventure allows us to become captivated by interesting people, places, and things. Virginia Rector has devoted over thirty years to serving youth from pre-teen to high school. Other books published by BK Royston she has authored are How Can I Serve You, a guide for youth leaders; and, How Can I Serve you coloring book. Etown and Tree, her first children's book, provides colorful illustrations for emerging readers, adults, and youth to enjoy as they read together. Her hope is that youth will think critically while journeying with Tree and move forward towards developing their purpose.
