What does it mean to be important? Krill was born with unimaginable power, able to turn into sand at will, but his king uses this gift mercilessly to gain lands, threaten lords and keep his people suitably cowed. As bridges are burned and allies turn to enemies, Krill's loyalty starts to fray and he begins to question everything. Most importantly, why was he given this power?
