Beskrivelse

U. S. Navy Seal vet, Mark St. James, has lived in Quincy, Pennsylvania his entire life. Coming from a long line of men and women, which dates back to the town founder, he knew the secrets even a small town kept. Returning home from his tour in Iraq, he's determined to right wrongs and rid his home town of the criminal degradation it's fallen into. Forming the Severe Crimes Investigation Unit, an elite division of the QPD, he cracks down on crime in the city by taking out habitual offenders. One year later, he pays the ultimate price, when a sadistic killer forces him to experience horror and loss at a personal level. After killing the man responsible, Mark no longer runs SCIU, is a recovering alcoholic, and self made Private Investigator. When a new batch of mysterious multiple homicides, with possible ties to the man he killed, begins; he must relive the nightmares in his past to stop the ones in the present.

Kiara Benson is an innocent young woman with her whole future ahead of her. On the night her boyfriend proposes, her eyes are opened to the terrible reality of a world she never knew existed. Becoming the sole witness to a crime she wants to forget, her life is suddenly turned upside down. Living under witness protection, she is no longer sure she will live to see another day.

Accepting Kiara's case and promising to protect her life, Mark sees this as a chance to get back the life which was taken from him. As the attempts on Kiara's life continue and the death toll mounts up, Mark must solve the case quickly or risk the entire town imploding. Can he save this young woman from certain death? How are the present deaths connected to the man he killed? And what happens to a town consumed with fear. To survive long enough to answer these questions. Mark must use every skill he learned as a S.E.A.L., and even that may not be enough.
