There's something rotten in the pharmaceutical world, beyond drug companies making oodles of money by charging outrageous prices. People all over the world are dying from counterfeit or contaminated medications, but often the doctors and nurses are unaware that it's the medication and not the disease that's killing them. 



When a young boy's broken leg results in his death, Jesse and Morgan launch an investigation into several dangerous-even lethal-formulations of well-known pharmaceuticals making their way into the hands of unsuspecting patients. Shocked to learn how perilously dependent the US has become on China for the active ingredients used in popular drugs, they risk their lives to expose the criminals and stop the illicit flow of contaminated medications into the marketplace.
