Clobetasol is a drug found under the generics known as coticorsteroids and they are drugs which are used to treat itching, redness or swelling on some parts of the body which results from some common skin infections such as eczema, psoriasis or rashes. It is used to treat the after effects of those skin infections and not the infection itself. Clobetasol works by decreasing the body's response to inflammation. It also reduces the activity of the immune system. Clobetasol exists in various forms but it is a topical drug which is to be used only in the skin. It exists in foam, cream, emollient, spray and ointment forms and is prescribed in different occasions to different people depending on their age, and the severity of the effects, or their health condition. It is prescribed to be used twice daily and only on the affected area, and this drug must not be taken at more than 50ml at a go to avoid severe side effects and dangers. It also should not be used for more than two weeks for the treatment of itching and swelling or rashes on the skin.
