Experts also refer to BPD as a biosocial disorder. This suggests that this condition often begins with a biological predisposition but is subsequently exacerbated by an individual's social milieu.

People with BPD have a very emotional, sensitive, and reactive temperament. In contrast to other individuals, they tend to experience things more quickly and powerfully. When their strong and profound emotions are activated, they take a long time to return to their emotional baseline.

It is vital to highlight that BPD develops when these emotionally susceptible individuals are faced by their environment because they cannot legitimize their emotions. In other words, they believe that the people around them do not completely understand and recognize them as capable of assisting them with their illness. Most children who acquire BPD have been demonstrated to have experienced abuse and neglect. Furthermore, BPD may develop in youngsters whose well-meaning and caring parents or guardians suppress their emotional sensations because they believe improper or excessive.

The following subjects are covered in this book:

To be honest, most parents tend to overreact and reject their children's emotional reactions. However, for extremely reactive youngsters, the sense that they are not understood or supported by the people who mean the world to them may be excruciating. This kind of reaction often causes kids to retreat from their parents to the point where their connection is entirely separated.

Keep in mind that when a child's emotions are not acknowledged by their parents or someone they look up to in life, it becomes difficult for them to learn how to handle their condition healthily. The fact is that it is the role of adults/parents to assist their children in identifying and naming their emotions. When parents comfort their children's feelings, they teach them how to soothe and calm themselves when they are alone.

People with BPD are often overwhelmed by emotions of tremendous rage, emptiness, self-loathing, humiliation, and abandonment, among other things. These sorts of sentiments make their relationships highly unstable, causing them to be prone to misinterpreting things.
