This collection of essays, published to commemorate the centenary of C.S. Lewis's birth, provides a panoramic view of Lewis's many-sided personality. Readers will not only find full coverage of the aspect of Lewis that means most to them - the friend, the academic, the writer of children's stories, the Christian apologist - but they will also be given access to his many other facets, enabling them to build up a complete picture of this intriguing man of letters. The book is divided into five sections, each of which represents one of the small pieces of coloured glass that together make up a complex mosaic, beginning with an introductory chapter by Walter Hooper which is based on first-hand knowledge of the writer.
