Baseball Roadtrip

Hit the road for a deep dive into baseball, the American pastime.



On a hot summer day in 1987, a group of guys who call themselves "The Amoeba" hit the road in a rented motorhome that they call "The Bago." Their mission is to experience the game of baseball the way it was meant to be, in the great outdoors on lovely summer afternoons and evenings.



Baseball Road Trip captures the freedom, the joy, and the pain of spending six days on the road with a group of fun-loving, beer-drinking knuckleheads. As the Amoeba crawls from Royals stadium to Busch Stadium to Comiskey Park and Wrigley Field, bits of baseball history creep in; the curse of the Billy Goat, the Black Sox scandal, Eddie Gaedel, Sportsman's Park. Of course, no road trip would be complete without visits to the local bars and taverns, rich with baseball history, that can often be found just outside the ballparks.
