Autism Life Skills offers comprehensive advice for parents and 'coaches' them on how to work through the emotions inherent to having a child who is not developing as expected. It also addresses the practical issues that must be considered when raising a child with special needs, such as safety at home and earning a living, and teaches parents how to give their children the skills they will need for a healthy, happy life.Through empowerment strategies, Autism Life Skills offers support for parents new to autism and shows them how to:- Communicate with their child and each other- Address the issue of self-esteem- Develop social relationships for their child- Foster independence in your child
