Flora Annie Steel (1847 - 1929) was an English writer who notably lived in British India for 22 years and is best remembered for her books set or related to the sub-continent. This charming tale revolves around a young Muhammad Akbar (1657 - 1706), who was a Mughal prince and the youngest son of Emperor Aurangzeb.
