And they are not made by career politicians.Your local government has far more influence over your day to day life than Washington. Your local City Council (or Board) and local County Commission yield far more influence over the quality of life issues (traffic, schools, safe neighborhoods), that should matter to YOU.So, while who is and who isn't the next candidate for President, or next Supreme Court Nominee, or Senator may grip the national headlines, your life is actually being impacted by your local elected officials.Who are these people? Can you even name them? Should you be trusting them to make decisions about your life? Your family? Your community?Should you be one of them?You can win a local election. You can make a different in your community. When it comes to local elections, there is no such thing as "the establishment".
