Since the beginning the Scholomance has always tried to devour its student body. Any small mistake on the students' part will result in death and the only way of escaping the school's grasp is to graduate or die.
In "The Last Graduate" by Naomi Novik El has reached her final year of school and even amassed a few friends and allies on her way, but the Scholomance is not happy with the powerful prophesized savior of mankind walking through its halls. It is determined to end her once and for all. As the school becomes more savage and dangerous, El decides to fight for her life and her graduation. She refuses to let mals, fate or her bloodlusting magic school stand in her way.
Graduation is a final, deadly ritual that hardly anybody survives and El and her friends quickly realize that the key to besting the ritual is through breaking all the rules.
