This title has been written following the success of pioneering approaches to teaching drama in secondary schools, culminating in a complete programme of study for KS3 Drama. Based on a highly effective, tried-and-tested approach at a Beacon School in Birmingham, this guide will give students increased confidence, a better understanding of drama techniques and a clear grasp of the theories needed, and prepare them for GCSE Drama, no matter which specification you follow. The authors, Phil Parker and Craig Boardman, teach at Manor Farm School, Birmingham, which holds Beacon School status and is central to the Midlands' as well as national work in drama INSET. Phil has 29 years' experience teaching drama and is an Assistant Head Teacher at the school. Craig leads the drama department and has 10 years' experience producing plays and films.
