This thought-provoking book is written from a feminine perspective, focusing on women who encountered Jesus as recorded in the Gospels. Each chapter contains a personal meditation and study guide. The book covers all the Marys, the Samaritan woman, the Canaanite woman, the bleeding woman, the widows, the female disciples and more. There is much to learn about how Jesus views women from his encounters with them: how much he valued them, listened to them and loved them. He freed them not only from sin, illness, and death but also from societal and religious oppression. Jesus purposefully revealed the character and heart of God to these women so that they are included in the Word of God. Their stories are told because Truth was imparted to them and for this they must be remembered. Their unique encounters reveal that God wants all women to live an abundant life in the fullness of His Spirit.
