Alexander Hamilton was one of the most important of the Founding Fathers: he was senior aide to General Washington in the Revolutionary War, founded the Bank of New York, was a major contributor to The Federalist Papers, was the country's first Secretary of the Treasury, and advocated for a strong central government.
