Ku-Pok's Morning Calm

Ku-Pok's Morning Calm is a historical memoir. It is the story of an U.S. Air Force captain recently assigned to defend the South Korean efforts against the belligerent communist North Koreans. Realizing a peace treaty has never been signed between the war torn nations, it is the job of the Combined Forces Command in South Korea to hold the DMZ on a 24/7 basis. People of the south, under a military dictatorship, demand their personal freedoms, and the fruits of democracy on the streets of major cities.It is in this back-drop of war and civil strife that an American airman finds a beautiful young woman (ex-South Korean sergeant) aiding the South in the struggle. Not since Marlin Brando's movie "Sayonara," has the reader been exposed to love and romance on an international level in a war torn environment.
