Grandma in the Box

Grandma in the Box is a children's book by Geri Magee, PhD. Grandma in the Box is a snippet from Geri's own life with her own grandchildren. It is a book that teaches how to communicate with your grandchildren over long distances when grandparent's may be unable to visit their grandchildren in person for many and varied reasons.



Geri has been working with individuals, couples and families creating a healthy lifestyle for over 32 years. As a single mother, she worked as a certified Financial and Estate planner for insurance and banking companies establishing and creating new divisions in the finance industry. Later in life she became a Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor for 22 years.

Authoring has been her third major career, amongst other jobs she held in her life to keep her family financially secure.

DrG is well aware of the struggles of today's modern families. She now has two young grandchildren, grand-puppies and grand-kitties with whom she is working on creating healthy relationships via social media. They love to hear her voice call, "It's Grandma in the Box time!" And they all come running.

Geri still believes it does not take the place of being there hugging them. However, it is the next best resource for DrG, so they know she is present, happy and ready to play, laugh, sing, read and enjoy championship with her various family members worldwide.

DrG utilizes social media in order to play an active role in her children's, grandchildren's, niece and nephew's lives today in the technological modern world; the apps make it fun and interesting for the younger ones. It is a great way for DrG to stay close to her family worldwide.
