The woman of strength and faith that I am today, stands tall on the shoulders of many who have taught and molded me with the example of Christ. This book would not be possible with the love and example from my Big Mama Dorothy Lee Barnes and my mother Carmen Fair Banks Sora.
MY HEART
As a servant leader, and an established ministry disciple that's on a mission to lead others to Christ, I want everyone to have and experience the best that life has to offer them. My ministry heart is to be a friend to women everywhere, meeting them right where they are. Whether amidst their joys of life or seasons of difficulty; and share reminders of the love found in our savior Jesus Christ.
Allow these words to encouragement you "All things are possible with God." Mark 10:27. My prayer is that after reading this devotional and allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede and heal you in those tight, dark spaces, and/or uncomfortable trying times. Life examples such as: seasons of divorce, money challenges, homelessness, strained relationships, mis-understandings, bad decisions etc.
God will send his love in like sunshine in his warm and gentle way. He will fill each corner of your heart each moment of everyday. My heart as a woman, has a place for every woman to rest in the peace of God our Father. Once in the peace of God, you will encounter the joy and experience of knowing that you are unconditionally loved. As it's written, "be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12."
WHY I'M WRITING
I want to encourage you today. You are stronger than you realize, you can withstand this test and win. I charge you Woman of God to fight the good fight and win. "You are God's masterpiece." Ephesians 2:10
To every homemaker and mother, you can be at peace in your home, loved by your children, adored by your spouse. To every woman entrepreneur, you can be graced with resourcefulness, witty inventions, money yielding propositions, increased customers, and in favor and demand by clients. To every sister, aunt, cousin, daughter you can be the solution giver, the glue to the relationship, the one who's input is valued and welcomed.
I want you to know you are somebody really special simply because you are you. You are a gift from God, he has placed a hidden treasure inside you that has guaranteed the victory. Take out the time to resynchronize yourself to the things of God. The concepts covered in this devotional journal is a great start to catapult you back into a Right now season.
Characteristics of a Woman of Strength and Faith are respect, wisdom, resourceful, grace, giving, thankful, brave, grounded, faithful, honorable, covered, unwavering, and loving. We are more empowered as women when we take on this attitude of endurance and encouragement, as stated in the Bible we are to be of the same mind and attitude toward each other just as Christ was.
If every woman resolves to encourage another and be a living epistle of love, long suffering and forgiveness rather than keeping record of short-comings and the frailties of others, then and only then will we live in the fullness that God has promised us.
