While researching and interviewing for the book, the authors discovered that there are businesses that will not promote a person because of their name. There are others that will not put ghetto or ethnic names in managerial positions. The authors spoke with teachers who address how kids with different or unique names are treated another way. The books have been featured on CNN, The Gayle King Show, AfroNerd Radio, 24hrMom Radio, and other media outlets. The authors answer many questions and more while interviewing hiring managers, pre-school teachers, grade school teachers, immigrants, store owners, and college professors to confirm some already-known-not-spoken truths, as well as some newly-brought-to-light truths.
