English summary: The starting point of this study is a small octavo containing cantata lyrics for Sundays and liturgical holidays, composed by the Hallensian theologian Johann Jacob Rambach (1693-1735). It was published in 1720 under the title Geistliche Poesien (spiritual poems). Julian Heigel's main thesis is that Johann Jacob Rambach's cantatas are embedded in a network of different references and influenced by different factors in which the actual content of the texts is only brought to light when looked at synoptically. Based on this assumption he examines various historical discourses of knowledge and reveals that the concepts, standards and categories arising from these discourses are reflected in the cantata lyrics. The results of this study are relevant not only with regard to Rambach's cantatas and their musical settings. The reconstruction of these historical categories constitutes a methodological set which can in principle be applied to all 18th century cantatas as well as to the Protestant cantata in terms of an overriding phenomenon. German description: Ein schmales Oktavbandchen mit Kantatentexten fur alle kirchlichen Sonn- und Feiertage des Halleschen Theologen Johann Jacob Rambach (1693-1735) bildet den Ausgangspunkt dieser Studie. Unter dem Titel Geistliche Poesien erscheint das Buchlein im Jahr 1720 und wird noch 80 Jahre spater als Textgrundlage fur geistliche Kantatenkompositionen herangezogen. Mehr als 40 Komponisten lassen sich nachweisen, die Texte dieses Kantatenjahrgangs vertonen, darunter namhafte wie Georg Philipp Telemann, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach und Georg Anton Benda. Julian Heigels Grundthese ist, dass die Kantatentexte von Johann Jacob Rambach in ein Netz von unterschiedlichen Bezugen eingebettet sind und verschiedene Einflusse aufnehmen, deren Synopse erst den eigentlichen Gehalt der Texte ans Licht bringt. Daher untersucht er verschiedene historische Wissensdiskurse, namlich die galante Poetik, die pietistische Affekthermeneutik, die pietistische Homiletik, die fruhaufklarerische Erkenntnistheorie, die fruhaufklarerische Rhetorik und unterschiedliche Musikasthetiken, und zeigt, dass die in den Diskursen produzierten Ideen, Normen und Kategorien sich in den Kantatentexten widerspiegeln. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie sind nicht nur fur Rambachs Kantatentexte und ihre Vertonungen relevant, sondern die Rekonstruktion der historischen Kategorien bildet ein methodisches Set, das grundsatzlich sowohl auf samtliche Kantaten des 18. Jahrhunderts als auch auf die protestantische Kantate als Gesamtphanomen angewandt werden kann.
