Thirty-six year old pediatrician, Nadya St. James, has filled her days with hours of work between her practice and the hospital, and many of her nights in the arms of a tall dark and handsome colleague. Never being able to find Mr. Right, since her break-up with her med school sweetheart, she's just about given up trying. Chef Sabien Mathews, is thirty-eight and newly divorced, with his mind set on being a great father to his daughter, Serenity, and making sure his restaurant is the best of the best on the social scene. His ex-wife's continued antics make being in a relationship the furthest thing from his mind. A chance encounter between the doctor and chef leads them to reckon with the demons of their past, while facing the obstacles of their present, to find happiness in the future. But will they find it with each other and will it be at the risk of Sabien losing his most precious gift.
