Miss Tayke tackles 3 curious murder mysteries in rapid succession. A beautiful young heiress has several attempts made on her life on board a luxury cruise ship. Matters appear to settle down. Then a passenger is murdered followed by another, and yet another. The captain implores Miss Tayke to launch a full scale enquiry. She discovers a common link between the victims; they all had some connection to the heiress. She summons a court of inquiry and exposes an unlikely killer in a nail-biting finale... Inside her conservatory lies the dead body of Aunt Hilda, face down; bludgeoned to death by a blunt instrument. Chief Constable Rawlings enlists the assistance of Miss Tayke to track down the murderer because he doubts the ability of his own police force. She dispatches Cedric and Bunty to Boston to interview a suspect while she tackles five others herself and exposes the fiend who perpetrated the outrage in the most unlikely of scenarios... A new business venture with a sinister mission in mind opens its doors adjacent to the Grand Theatre. Days later after a visit from the police the shop closed down with all trace of its existence removed. Shortly afterwards a series of unexplained deaths occur in the village with each of the victims leaving an identical suicide note. Miss Tayke is invited to investigate...
