Known as ‘Run Donna Run’ after her 2013 marathon/fundraising campaign, Donna Campisi is an inspiring speaker, author, humanitarian, adventure and performance coach. At seven years old Donna was named ‘The Mystery Girl,’ when a stroke and its complications left doctors baffled. The diagnosis was that she would never walk or talk again. After amazing results, she became known as ‘The Miracle Girl’ during her recovery, even while facing a long road of rehabilitation ahead of her.
Now Donna is ‘The Unlikely Marathoner’. Her chosen challenge was to learn to run again after thirty-four years. Only able to run thirty tentative steps, Donna trained for eleven months to complete a marathon (42.2 km). Donna’s personal and heart-warming stories from her stroke and marathon journey are a lesson for anyone lacking the confidence to go for their big goal. Through courage, determination and Donna’s own Baby Step Method, she proves that for those who want to live their dreams, ‘there’s no such thing as can’t’!
