Deep in the forest, Tofar ponders his deepest fears. Why would no one speak his father's name? What was it that his family knew that they dared not disclose? Foolish as it seems, he begins a journey from the safety of his island home into an adventure that will lead to answers far beyond his expectations, and more troublesome than he could have ever imagined. Together with Ameth, the wise, old prophet, they will travel to Tenebrose and the palace of the Ultimate Ruler. After their escape from Legerdemain and Bellicosa, Diamond, Jewel, Gem and Ruby find themselves hopelessly lost in a forest, only to be captured by a savage gang of thieves. Their dreams seem to be shattered by being held in a place where no escape is possible. How will the Prince rescue them once again and move them towards the longed-for home in the City of Light? The Prince has one last challenge for them all. They will become part of the plan to overthrow the rule of the evil dragon, Malpha. This tale continues the adventures of the four characters from The Treasures of Darkness. See how the Prince fulfills his promise to give to each of them what they need most, but never dared to hope for.
