Beskrivelse
This book describes more than 40 different routes from the southernmost part to the northernmost part of the Swedish mountains. This includes distances between huts and landmarks as well as information on roadheads, lodgings and resupply options. You can take your pick of routes and combine them into anything from a walk over a weekend, a week, or a month. You can also combine them into a hike that will give the diploma for The Swedish Green Ribbon.
The Swedish Green Ribbon is an inspiration to hike 1300-1400 kilometers through the Swedish mountains. You should hike between Grövelsjön to Treriksröset (Three Country Cairn). The route is up to you and the book gives lots of possible route combinations.
The book encourages you to leave the gravel roads for tundra trails and the tundra trails for cross-country travel, to walk on the wild side. The book also contains lots of information on trail techniques and optimal gear for tundra hiking.
This book has also been published under the title The Swedish Green Ribbon - a walk on the wild side. It is available as an e-book.
