Falhinir is a simple lad, living on a farm not far from the Kent coast. The Romney Marsh is the only place he has known his entire life. He is happy, his world is small and he is surrounded by familiarity. He likes it that way. The year is 600 A.D when his uncle, Asgrim, returns after sixteen years away. Events soon transpire that will profoundly change the course of the young man's destiny...................... but then i suppose you expected that ? .............. It wouldn't be much of a story otherwise would it ? For Asgrim is a founding knight of The Brotherhood of the Sword, an elite and battle hardened fighting force sworn to protect the fledgling Christian church. They have been engaged in a long and bloody fight against Tuan, an ancient enemy of Britain. Imprisoned centuries before, Tuan cultish supporters, led by descendants of his original followers, have succeeded in setting him free. He is resurrecting an army of Dark Warriors, supernatural creatures clad in black armour who are extremely difficult to resist. He seeks revenge for the repeated attacks against his homeland of Eire and the murder of his pregnant wife. He intends to take control of all the islands and destroy those who attempt to stop him. For all this to come to pass he needs an ancient artefact, the Pendant of Morrigan, a gemstone fabled to have belonged to the Goddess of the underworld and which possesses the ability to view events before and as they occur.What remains of The Brotherhood, must seek an ancient witch called Ceridwen, for she can help them defeat Tuan. Falhinir finds himself in possession of part of a map. A document that has beendivided into three pieces to protect the precise location of Ceridwen, should she ever need to be found. Faced with such a daunting quest, Falhinir embarks upon a journey of self discovery that will bring him into contact with true friends, amazement and terror.
