Rather, the book is designed to bring a particular reader to the point where he or she can ask those questions. If you come from a background that teaches present experience may seem arbitrary, but it really isn't, this book will tell you otherwise. The Christian and the Critic is divided into three sections: Christians and Truth Christians and Sin Christians Interpret Experience The book will explain why Christians, perhaps, must affirm that present experience is arbitrary. It will suggest some questions arbitrariness might raise. And it will suggest the questions raised are those that truly matter by pointing out some possible consequences of failing to deal with them. The consequences are worth consideration.
