You've probably had nachos, lots of times. Nacho chips are GREAT with cheese. What ELSE can you do with nachos? As it turns out, LOTS of things. This cookbook will show you all kinds of dishes you can make with nachos, with all different kinds of tastes. For many years, nachos were made by cooks who were too tired to cook a "real meal" after a long day at work or play. They are so handy when you need to throw together a quick meal or appetizer. Did you know nacho dishes are healthy? They have protein and vegetables. You can also customize your nachos to suit small dinners or large gatherings. Nachos with all the fixings were created in Piedras Negras, Mexico, close to the border with the United States. They were made by an ingenious man, to feed a small army of Army wives. They loved them, of course, and now they're a dish we all seem to love. What toppings go best with nachos? There are TONS of great nacho toppings. The classics include refried and/or black beans, beef, Colby Jack, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese shreds, all kinds of salsa, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeno chilies, tomatoes and green onions.
