In this sequel to Judy Liautaud's award-winning memoir, Sunlight on My Shadow, Judy and Dave spend a year and a half traveling with back-packs from Acapulco, Mexico to Buenos Aires Argentina walking and taking buses, trains, trucks through the Mexico, Central America, and several countries in South America. Judy starts out eager to follow Dave in his passion for travel but soon discovers that his main passion is adventure. She is faced with many challenges along the way as she weighs the risks involved in the schemes Dave thinks up. In the end, she finds the strength to follow her own comfort and safety zone and is faced with some very difficult decisions. It is a story of young love and transformation through the school of hard knocks.
