She's No Turnip is the true story of a mother's journey from conception, miscarriages and eventually the birth of her baby and the months that follow. A warm and deeply personal account as the mother shares her memories of a baby born with a chromosome abnormality - Trisomy 18, Edward's Syndrome. Healthy babies are born every second of every day and mothers and fathers across the world celebrate the miracle that is new life. Sometimes things go wrong and babies are born with genetic conditions or chromosome abnormalities. Follow the days leading to the birth of one of these children as told by the mother. She describes the moments of realization as parents that not all is well and how she learns to cope with her difficult pregnancy and the special needs of her newborn.
