Beskrivelse

Toki Matsudaira who is the author of this book, was Born in 1944 in Tokyo, Japan. She was educated in the Sacred Heart School in Albany, New York, and then embarked on a one-year study at the French Lycee in Manhattan in the late 1950's. Her immediate and famous novelist writer relation of the family was Yukio Mishima, and many years ago, the more famous Lady Murasak, who wrote "The Tale of Genji", a story of Court Life in the 16th century Japan.

 

Divorced, with two children, Toki Matsudaira has lived in London, England since 1969. She studied at a tutorial collage for young ladies in Oxford, England from 1961-1963. Trained as a fashion model at Lucy Clayton, London. Did a secretarial course in London, and worked for various art galleries in 1968-1969, including Marlborough Fine Art Gallery and the Royal Academy.

 

She speaks, reads and writes French and has Knowledge of Japanese, though this is a language she does not speak so well due to the length of time she has spent away from Japan.
