A beautiful race of aliens called Schoen are now stalking the streets of near future New Chicago - beautiful but oh, so deadly. They are infecting humans with a terrible madness, a virus that corrupts and destroys both mind and body. Enter Alien Investigation and Removal agent Jaxon Tremain. While investigating, he's attacked and captured, imprisoned and tortured. Enter secret operative Mishka Le'Ace, cold, unfeeling, a woman whose body is part machine, gifting her with superhuman strength. She's sent to rescue Jaxon - or kill him if he's spilled government secrets. From the beginning, neither can deny the electric attraction between them, not even when they are forcibly parted after the successful rescue. For the machine half of Le'Ace is controlled like a puppet, forcing her to do things she doesn't always want to do: even kill a man she craves more than breath.
