As human beings, we are vulnerable to committing mistakes and are constantly being tempted to sin, however our greatness lies in the fact that when we do fall into a state of heedlessness of our Creator, we spiritually wake ourselves up and turn back towards Him in repentance. In this regard, the Quran presents God as being the Most Merciful and Oft-Forgiving; and through the countless narratives of the past generations, shows us that it is never too late to turn back towards Him in penitence.
This work introduces one of the most powerful and practical lessons in repentance to the Most High narrated through the heart-wrenching story of Prophet Yunus (Jonah) in the Noble Quran. Through studying this Prophet of God and fully understanding one of the most beautiful recommended prayers which the believers are encouraged to perform every night, known as Salat al-Ghufaylah, we learn one of the ways that we too can come out of spiritual-heedlessness of the All-Mighty Creator and obtain His pleasure and proximity.
