The beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico is a self-governing U.S. territory in the Greater Antilles islands off the southeastern coast of mainland U.S.A. It is part of a chain of islands that includes Cuba, Jamaica and Hispaniola. Puerto Rico has a mild tropical climate, which is appealing to vacationers year round. San Juan is the largest city in the Caribbean and is the capital city of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico was recently voted the most popular island to visit in the Caribbean and San Juan was one of the top 50 world cities to visit in 2013.
