Carol Chapman's antennae are wired and poised to observe, reflect, and respond to the roiling circumstances that confront us. Chapman's poetry is fueled by the fears and emotions that weigh on us during turbulence, upheaval, and even moments of tranquility when squelched thoughts surface. Emotions are frequently buried as a wall of protection. Chapman's poetry breaches this wall, confronting isolation, passion, sex, death, hypocrisy, cruelty, and the realities of life.
