The book Organic Dairy Farming unfolds the various aspects of the organic dairy farming system, need of organic farming. Dairy industry scenario in India and Abroad, quality control aspect of milk, nutritional profile of organic milk, hygienic milk production, livestock ethical issues and organic farming legislation, certificaton and labeling. This book also gives insight to impending climatic charges - its influence on milk production, climatic stresses its mitigation strategies and global warming etc. In organic farming system, use of soluble fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators, feed additives and other chemicals are avoided. The organic farmer relics on the crop rotations, animals manure, low stocking rates and good animal husbandry practices for producing outputs.
