Beskrivelse
"Old and Middle English Texts with Accompanying Textual and Linguistic Apparatus" contains significant selections from medieval literature starting with an excerpt from the "Anglo-Saxon Chronicle" of 449 and ending with an excerpt from Thomas Malory's "Le Morte Darthur," 1485. Difficult selections are accompanied by detailed glossaries. Partial glossaries or glossing only of difficult words accompany selections that are easier to understand. This book also provides linguistic information and historical commentary at appropriate points.
