Adelia Dumont is the toast of the London stage, but a pariah in the drawing room. Not that she cares. A woman doesn't have to be born a lady to be a valuable member of society and between her acting career and her undercover work on behalf of the Crown, she's more than fulfilled.
Until she finds herself in an unlikely pairing.
Lord "Fletcher" Fletchingham has been shirking marital expectations for years but his mother is out of patience. He agrees to marry by the end of the Season, but when a duty necessitates his departure from London, he's relieved at the opportunity to escape - even if it means he'll have to partner with the haughty Miss Dumont.
