Beskrivelse

It is increasingly common to find Muslim men marrying non-Muslim women, particularly in the west and non-Muslim countries. Also, while rare, Muslim women are also marrying non-Muslim men.

With Sheikh "Google" available on the internet, people find it very easy to receive the Fatwa (Religious Verdict) that they are looking for to justify their actions.

Concerning marriage, decision is normally made with the heart - and when a decision of the heart is concerned, some Muslim men and women do not generally think rationally i.e., within the Islamic framework of permissibility and impermissibility. They tend to overlook the principles of Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet ¿ and look for potential Fatwa or articles on the internet or ask so called 'scholars' of their choice to basically justify the decision that they have already made.

The Objective of this book is not to make Haram (Forbidden) something that has been permitted specifically in the Qur'an and the Sunnah and not to make Halal (Lawful) what has been forbidden in the Quran and Sunnah. Rather, the objective is to provide an understanding of what is acceptable and what is prohibited in marriage from an Islamic perspective. The short book takes a comprehensive look at the Islamic position on marriage by reviewing all the Quran verses, Ahadiths and various Islamic Rulings from the esteemed Sahabas (companion of the Prophet ¿), Tabieens (Generations who met the Sahabas but not the Prophet ¿) and Ulamas (Religious Scholars) and Fuqahas (Islamist Jurist) and then summarize and carefully present their rulings or conclusions on the subject.
