Beyond their functions in our day interpreting the law, these major figures in the Book of Judges, the seventh book of the Torah or Old Testament, are people in situations much like ours. We have smacked down six hundred like Shamgar. We have doubted God's promises like Gideon. We have come from the wrong side of the tracks like Jephthah.
