This is the emotional story of Damian Joseph Bridgemans life and disability. It details his passage through the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and its effect on his life. It also covers the casual abuse by his mothers' boyfriend that dominated his family life and put all of their lives in danger. It also covers the aspect of his triumphs over his disability and over Uriah Smiths abuse. This story is not only insightful, it will make you laugh and cry, possibly in equal measure. It will disturb you both in the aberrant behaviour described and in the often careless way that Damians needs are dismissed by all parties. Damian details struggles with surgery and relates ways that others could follow to avoid their own problems with Cerebral Palsy.
