The city s unique history follows a community that has been simultaneously rural, industrial, and suburban, with great factories alongside the sprawling country estates of wealthy families such as the Pratts and Morgans. Irish, Polish, and Italian immigrants came to work in the factories and build the estates, settling in the community and creating one of the most ethnically and economically diverse communities in America."
