Beskrivelse
This book discusses recovery paths of people suffering from mental illnesses. The rise in mental health problems and the chronic progress of diseases is not only a challenge for medicine and society, but also for social work. The focus is on the financial feasibility of the care system, rather than the health problems. The reference of self-help capacities and resources should take on an increasingly important role. The individual coping strategies in the context of assisted living is in the centre of attention, with the aim of developing perspective through recommendations for this area of practice. Based on qualitative interviews with scheme participants, relatives, social workers and psychologists, it is demonstrated that those affected are clearly "health experts by personal experience."
