Beskrivelse
Chapter six of Book III of Montaigne's Essais deals with coach sickness or carriage sickness and indignation about the conquistadors' destruction of the New World. Initially a contemplation of motion sickness and leading to a consideration of circus games in Rome, these observations are a continuation of the chapter On Cannibals and end with an indictment of Europeans unable to conquer humanely.
