It was an early morning call that destroyed Dannan's peaceful sleep. It was a call that would send him hundreds of miles away. It was a call that could end his life and that of two friends: McTivin and his son. If J.B. refused to follow instructions, if he did not at least attempt to rescue them, they would surely die. Little did Dannan know that a horrific set of events awaited him. He had no idea that many people were about to die. But he was left with little choice. If he didn't kill a friend, his career would be over. His life as he knew it would end. His investigative business would suffer irreparable damage and he would spend years in prison. If Dannan reached out to his CIA friend, what help would they offer? Would he get any help at all? Would his cousin, a chief of police, be able to help? Then just when J.B. Dannan thinks his situation can't get any worse, he is contacted by an anonymous caller and ordered to kill another person...a stranger...a woman he doesn't even know.
