Drug discovery and development is a long term process with involvement of multidisciplinary approach starting from lead identification to pathway analysis to late stage clinical development. A parallel processing of biological, chemical, pharmaceutical and clinical data can provide a solution to the drug discovery puzzle. This volume mainly concentrates on three main sections viz. discovery of lead molecules, updates on antimicrobials and current status of bio therapeutics development, and is hoped to be an essential reading for pharmacologists, medicinal chemists and pharmaceutical scientists working in academia and industry.
