'A Home for Marlo' is the story of a lovable wild foxy-looking cat who has been wandering the streets looking for a place that he can call his own - his very own home, a place where he will feel safe, loved, happy, warm, full-bellied and where he will be able to laugh and play. Throughout his search, Marlo comes across many creatures, who have something that Marlo has desperately been looking for in a home.
This heartfelt, self-written and self-illustrated picture book is intended for children aged 5-9 years. The storybook aims to bring to light the topic of homelessness, particularly amongst younger readers by conveying it in a way that children can easily relate, understand, and empathise, particularly, through the use of the lovable character, Marlo. The storybook is also well suited for adults who see the importance of helping shine a light on homelessness.
